Hi mibes,
The first adder I ever saw when I was a child was in water swimming. As I was so young and new to it I then assumed i'd find more in the same situation and kept looking along streams ect. Saw plenty of grassies then though

That is a very well fed immature fem; I bet she was nobbling frogs. If you go again sit and watch. Frogs make up more of an adders diet than you would think. At Cors Caron in Ceridigion most of adult diet consists of frogs.
